I've read the article about the "Gay men banned from becoming Queen" and I wanted to spend few words.
I think that also England is, in part, a close-minded country. This behaviour entails that a lot of people who feel attraction for the same sex cannot express their personality; a wave of sexual repression is still present.
The Crown is an old institution but it should open its mind and accept that in this world we don't have all the same tastes and the same thoughts and homosexuality isn't absolutely something to discriminate, recriminate and hide.

  1. Thank you for you thoughts. Equality is the cornerstone of human rights law and I think this is an important issue, especially as it is an unsettled area of law. This article really shows how language and law are inter-related and if law doesn't keep up with changes in society, then injustice can occur.
